IRON MAIDEN, NEW YORK DOLLS, THE QUIREBOYS Members Featured On DAVE 'BUCKET’ COLWELL CD

July 22, 2010

Just one month away from releasing his debut album "Guitars, Beers & Tears", AAO Music has announced that Dave "Bucket" Colwell has been named as an Ambassador for the SADS (Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndromes) Foundation. The Foundation is dedicated to preventing Sudden Arrhythmia Deaths in children and young people through public awareness, research, family support and professional education.

Dave, like many others, has been personally affected by SADS. While on tour in 1993 with BAD COMPANY, the band's tour manager was tragically struck down by SADS. Dave has offered to promote awareness for the Foundation and reach out to affected families when possible. Dave has generously remixed his single "Reach Out" featuring IRON MAIDEN's Adrian Smith to create an exclusive version for the Foundation titled "Reach Out (Stop SADS Mix)". The song has been adopted as the official anthem of the SADS Foundation. Special ringtones, mastertones and ringback versions will be available also.

"This is an incredible opportunity for us to raise awareness of the warning signs of SADS: 1) fainting during exercise or when startled, 2) history of young, unexplained death in the family, and 3) consistent chest pain while exercising. By learning the warning signs, and taking the steps to get appropriate medical help, we can save these young lives," stated Laura Wall, vice president of development and marketing for the SADS Foundation.

Peter G. Kuys, chairman of AAO Music Group, said "It is absolutely marvelous for our privileged rock community (AAO executives included) to give back and create hope and comfort to as many young people as possible to survive this syndrome." Kuys added, "Although the syndrome can be complex, there are warning signs and it can be treated. Creating awareness is a key part and AAO Music and Dave 'Bucket' Colwell are proud to do our part."

"Guitars, Beers & Tears" features many of Bucket's "A-list" friends, including IRON MAIDEN's Adrian Smith, Edwin McCain, Steve Conte from the NEW YORK DOLLS, THE QUIREBOYS' Spike, Danny Bowes from THUNDER, Bekka Bramlett and BAD COMPANY's Robert Hart. The CD will be available in stores and online on August 17. The album will carry a special Stop SADS insert with information for the SADS Foundation.
